BFG/Frozen-Themed Fundraiser raises £350
Thank you to all parents and children who supported Red Kite Children’s Centre on Saturday 1st October at the BFG/Frozen themed fundraising event. Amy Spicer, Centre Manager, staff and representative John Hulett of Sharinglife Trust (pictured left), collected nearly £350 on the day from donations to the centre.
Children from the centre met characters from BFG and Frozen, they had a marvellous time meeting Elsa, Anna and Big Friendly Giant. Activities included face painting, dreamcatchers craft, Frozen Sensory corner and lots of other Frozen related crafts and messy play activities.
The Mayor of Thame, Linda Emery (pictured right), and Councillor Mary Styles, made an appearance to thank the staff at the Red Kite Centre for their efforts and are looking forward to more fundraising activities later in the year. Harry Bond from Thame and a keen amateur photographer gave up his time to capture the memorable time we had at this very worthwhile event.
Red Kite Centres play an essential role in giving children and families the early support they need. They are open to our whole community on a regular basis. They work in partnership with other agencies such as health visitors, midwives and local schools. For more information on any of the services, please call the centre and one of our team will be happy to help you.
