Thame’s Christmas Lights Switch-On
With Thame’s Christmas Lights Switch-On just round the corner, some more details about the event have been revealed.
On Friday 2 December, from 3pm, come and watch some fabulous stilt-walking and balloon-making from local entertainer Colonel Custard. Amongst the seven different performance groups we have on offer throughout the evening in the Upper Chamber, Masonic Hall and on the High Street, are the Towersey Morris Men who are celebrating their 50th year. Festive music will play throughout the High Street to accompany your Christmas shopping, and what better place to tick a few things of your list than Thame’s buzzing High Street and over 20 gift stalls on offer at the event.
Remember to keep searching for all 24 Go-Kart Santa’s in our Santa Circuit Town Trail this year, and you could be pushing the plunge on Thame’s Christmas Lights this year, alongside Father Christmas, the Mayor of Thame, Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. We also have a special four-legged friend who will join us at the event.
Thank you to ASM Auto Recycling who have kindly sponsored the Christmas Tree again this year, Kubota, Risborough Carers and all of our supporters and sponsors this year.
Programmes will be available to download from www.thametowncouncil.gov.uk/christmas or collect from Thame Information Centre from next week (week commencing 28 November). Programmes will also be distributed on the day of the event.
