Apply now for a stall at Thame’s Christmas Lights Switch-On 2019

Stall applications are now open for Thame’s Christmas Lights Switch-On event, this year on Friday 6 December 2019. 

The event will take place in the town centre (High Street, Cornmarket & Buttermarket) between 4pm and 7:30pm. Set up is expected to be from 1:30pm and set down from 7:30pm (all timings are subject to change).

There are 3 ways to apply:

  1. Complete and submit the online form below, OR
  2. Download an Application Form and submit by email, OR
  3. Visit the Town Hall and collect a printed Application Form to complete by hand

How it works

  1. Read the Event Regulations
  2. Complete an application form (see above) and submit it (along with the relevant documents) to the Town Council via email – info@thametowncouncil.gov.uk or post Thame Town Council, Town Hall, Thame, Oxfordshire, OX9 3DP.
  3. You will be informed via email whether your application has been successful or not.
  4. If successful, you will be given details of how to pay – we accept payment by card, BACS, cheque or cash. Only once we have received your payment will your stall pitch be confirmed.
  5. We send out the stall layout around 10 days before the event, and may be in touch at other times to follow up on any outstanding paperwork / payment or if there are any significant changes to the event schedule.

  • This email address will be used to contact you with details of the event and stall layout (approximately 10 days before the event). We will also confirm if your application has been successful via this email address.
  • Stall Details

  • Please provide the address of your business, charity or community group.
  • Please give as much information about the specifics of your products as possible. This will help us to avoid duplication of stalls and assist in the layout of the event. This information will also be used in the event programme. Please note, stallholders may NOT sell alcohol unless invited to do so.

  • Please select the type of structure which best matches what you intend to bring to the event. Please let us know if your structure changes in type or size. If you are unsure at the time of applying, we will get in touch nearer the event to confirm your stall structure.
  • Please give as much information about the specifics of your structure as possible.
  • Please select which stall option you would like to book. If your application is successful, details of how to pay will be sent to you. Please note, your stall pitch is not confirmed until we have received payment from you.
  • Documents

    In order for your stall application to be considered, we must receive the following documents, which you can upload below.
  • Please upload your Public Liability Insurance below. Your public liability must be valid for the duration of the event on Friday 29 November 2024. If your insurance expires before then, please upload your current insurance policy and we will be in touch before the event to follow this up. Entry will not be permitted on the day if you have not provided a copy of your valid public liability insurance.

        • Important Information & Signature

          Please read the Event Regulations carefully (available at the top of this page). Stalls are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and priority will be given to local organisations. Stall applications may be rejected to avoid duplicate stalls. Entry is only permitted if the above documents are provided and payment made prior to the event. The Council is unable to provide electricity, gazebos, tables, chairs, or rubbish clearance. It is the responsibility of each company / organisation to take away all refuse from their pitch. Please be aware you will need some form of light on your stall at night-time. Generators are permitted by agreement. There is to be no vehicular movement on site between 3:30pm – 7.30pm (times are subject to change).
