Remembrance Sunday – 10 November 2019
The Service of Remembrance will be taking place at Thame Memorial Gardens on Sunday 10 November 2019. The procession, which will include Town Councillors, members of the Royal British Legion, other community groups and a lone piper, will assemble outside the Town Hall at 10.30am ready to proceed to the War Memorial. Due to success last year the large screen will be in place.
A copy of the Order of Service can be downloaded from the Town Council website at www.thametowncouncil.gov.uk/remembrance. Copies are also available from the Information Centre and will be distributed at the Memorial Gardens on the morning of the service.
Please can residents/businesses who park along the Upper High Street on both sides of the Memorial Gardens move their vehicles off site before 8am on Sunday 10 November 2019 to enable the event to set up.
Following the service everyone is warmly invited to Christchurch for refreshments.
The Town Mayor, Cllr Ann Midwinter, invites you to join her on Armistice Day, Monday 11 November at 10.55 am as she leads the town in the Act of Remembrance and observes a two minute silence outside the Town Hall.
