Thame’s Service of Remembrance 2022

The sun came out on Remembrance Sunday for the parade and Remembrance Service at the War Memorial. Residents and visitors came out in great numbers to show their respect and remember the service and sacrifice of all those who lost their lives to defend our freedom. The service was shown on a big screen and attendees were also able to download the service sheet. All eyes were raised to the skies, with an audible gasp from Thame First Scout Group, Girl Guides and St John Ambulance at the impressive fly over by the RAF Benson Chinook and Puma helicopters.

The 2022 poppy appeal collection in Thame raised a whopping £17,022.45!  Thanks to all of you who donated to the Poppy Appeal and to the volunteers who stood outside the Town Hall in all weathers selling poppies.
