Community Bus meeting success!

Last Thursday, Thame Town Council hosted 3 meetings to get community feedback about what is missing in our local public transport system.

Attendees were presented with details about current bus routes  within Thame, out of Thame and  connections to onward travel.
Information about the future of the 121 service was also shared. The final details for this service will be published shortly.
What we do know is that the 121 will continue for at least 5 years from April 2024; running as an hourly service from 7am – 7pm Monday – Friday, and a shorter timetable on Saturday; including an extension to Haddenham & Thame Parkway and to the new housing estate opposite Haddenham Garden Centre (but will involve the loss of the current route that takes the 121 to the Leisure Centre).

Those who attended were asked to feedback what was good about Thame’s bus services, what was missing, what were barriers to using Public Transport, and finally what else a Community Transport service should seek to achieve.
We hope that the survey results may help us design an additional bus service that will be useful to people of Thame.

For those not able to attend these meetings, there is an opportunity to contribute your views  through the survey link below. This will be open until 9am Monday 25 March.
