Chatty Bus Returns for Those Feeling Lonely

On Tuesday 6 August, the Chatty Bus will return to Thame to help fight loneliness.

On the day, two of the Oxford Bus Company’s 280 bus services will be transformed into “chatty buses”. Volunteers from Oxford Bus Group, Age UK Oxfordshire, and Oxfordshire Mind will be on-board to spark conversation and make introductions. The volunteers will also provide light games and information about local activities and social groups to suit all interests.

Anyone feeling lonely or isolated who wants to connect with others is encouraged to join the special 280 Chatty Bus on Tuesday 6 August. Bus fares on the special buses will be 50% off usual prices. The buses will depart from Thame Town Hall for Oxford at 9.55am and 11.55am. Click here for further information.
