Are You Registered to Vote in the Referendum?
South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has announced the date for the “Referendum on the adoption of the Thame Neighbourhood Plan”.
According to the Notice of Referendum, the referendum will be held on Thursday 6 February 2025 to decide on the question, ‘Do you want South Oxfordshire District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Thame to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’
To vote you must be registered to vote in local elections by Tuesday 21 January 2025 and live in the referendum area. Make sure you register to vote if you haven’t already.
If you want to vote by post, you will need to complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Officer to arrive by 5pm on Wednesday 22 January 2025 at:

If you can’t get to the polling station and don’t wish to vote by post, you may be able to vote by proxy. If you want to vote by proxy, you will need to complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Officer to arrive by 5pm on Wednesday 29 January 2025 at the address above or email to elections@southandvale.gov.uk.
