Thame to Haddenham Greenway Receives Funding to Progress

On Tuesday 11 February, the budget for the next stage of the Thame to Haddenham Greenway was approved as part of the Oxfordshire County Council budget, marking a significant step forward for this vital infrastructure project. The allocated funding will allow the project to progress to the next phase of a comprehensive feasibility study.
The Thame to Haddenham Greenway is a much-needed project to improve safety and connectivity between Thame and Haddenham. With strong local support, it will provide safer routes for pedestrians and cyclists, while linking to Haddenham train station, making it easier for people to use public transport and reduce congestion.
County Councillor for Thame and Chinnor Kate Gregory said, “I’m really excited that the Thame to Haddenham Greenway is moving forward. This is something local residents and businesses have been calling for, and it’s great to see it making progress. The Greenway will make travel safer and more sustainable, plus it will connect directly to Haddenham train station, giving people an easy and safe way to use public transport.”
