Thame Businesses Support “Safe Places” Initiative to Help Those Who Feel Vulnerable

Did you know Thame has eight registered Safe Places?
South Oxfordshire’s Safe Place’s scheme is coordinated in partnership between South Oxfordshire District Council’s Community Safety Team, Oxfordshire Family Support Network, Thames Valley Police, and Oxfordshire Country Fire and Rescue Service.
What are Safe Places?
A Safe Place is a registered venue that has agreed to offer help and support if someone is anxious, scared, or believes they may be at risk.
To date, eight Thame venues provide a Safe Place for those who may feel scared or lost:
- Thame Leisure Centre
- Thame Barns Centre
- Waitrose
- Thame Town Council
- Sainsburys
- Thame Library
- Citizens Advice
- The Cottage Bakery
