Ramblers – Thame & Wheatley
Ramblers – Thame & Wheatley
Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.
The Thame & Wheatley group contributes walks to the Oxfordshire area programme, as well as arranging awaydays and social events. It offers a short walk on the second Tuesday of every month. Members are kept informed of Ramblers events via monthly e-mails and regular newsletters. New walkers and potential members are always welcome. The beautiful rural area covers 34 parishes within the Vale of Oxford and includes several picturesque market towns. It is crossed by the Thame Valley Walk, the Ridgeway, the Oxfordshire Way and Shakespeare's Way as well as numerous local footpaths.
