Revitalising Thame’s Green Spaces
With nature under threat as never before, the volunteers of Thame Green Living, the architects of the Thame Green Living Plan (adopted and supported by Thame Town Council), have been busy putting into action some of the plan’s many ideas. Two projects underway, designed to improve Thame’s biodiversity and support pollinators and the natural world, are further discreet planting at Howland Road and a small section of open land within Queen Elizabeth Circle, off Roundhead Drive.
We’re already hearing much more about COP 26, the international climate conference, and it’s worth a reminder that, so far as we know, Thame is the only community in the country with a detailed and workable Green Living Plan devoted to sustaining a healthy environment. It’s our chance as individuals and as a community to make a real difference to help our climate and locality. The plan and more details are on the Thame Green Living website.
Leaflets are being delivered to residents who live close to these locations with more details about what is proposed. If you receive a leaflet please feel free to give your feedback, using the contact links on the leaflet or as below. Thame Green Living are also keen to hear from anyone who might like to get involved in helping to plan, plant and keep these areas healthy. If you don’t receive a leaflet but want to find out more or get involved, please also make contact.
