Minutes of the Meeting of Thame Town Council held on 26 February 2015 at 6.30pm in the Upper Chamber, Thame Town Hall

1 Apologies for Absence

Apologies received from Cllr Humphries (Other interest).

2 Declarations of Interest

There were no declarations of interest.

3 Public Participation

There were no applications to address the Council.

4 Exclusion of the Public

Pursuant to Section 1 (2) of the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960 it is resolved that, because of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted, the public and the press leave the meeting during consideration of:

Agenda Item 5: To formalise the offer of the position of Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.

5 Town Clerk

Cllr Bretherton gave an overview of the process that had taken place from receipt of the formal resignation of the Town Clerk to the interviews of prospective candidates. Cllr Champken-Woods reported on the interview process and how the Interview Panel had arrived at the recommendation now before Council.

RESOLVED that:

i) The candidate recommended by the Interview Panel be offered the position of Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer. Subject to a six month probationary period and two satisfactory references.
