Welcome Sue to Thame Town Council!
Thame Town Council is delighted to announce that it has co-opted Sue McGarry onto the Council.
A vacancy arose earlier this year and following an application period, three applications were received.
Thame Town Council considered these applications at a public meeting on 30 April and voted to elect Sue as Town Councillor.
Sue has lived in Thame for 25 years and has strong connections to the community, notably with St Joseph’s School as a governor.
Sue has knowledge and skills in strategy development and budget monitoring and in addressing the Council, Sue demonstrated understanding of a range of challenges and opportunities facing the Town Council and Thame’s community.
Upon being co-opted onto the Council, Sue said:
“I am honoured to have been chosen to join the Town Council.
I’m really looking forward to working with my fellow Councillors for the benefit of the people who live and work in our lovely town.”
