Mayor Appoints Cadet

Congratulations to Luke Smits who has been given the honourable role of Mayor’s Cadet. Earlier this week, Thame Mayor, Cllr Andy Gilbert, presented Luke with his Cadet’s badge.

Luke is a member of Thame Scouts and a pupil at Lord Williams’s school. As the Mayor’s Cadet, he will accompany the Mayor to public civil events and assist with civic duties during his term in office. At such events, the Mayor’s Cadet may be asked to read or perform a duty such as carrying a wreath for the Mayor.
