Thame Remembers

Photo collage of morning service at Thame War Memorial

On Thursday 6th June, we commemorated the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. We honoured the bravery and sacrifice of the heroes who served during World War II and extended our deepest gratitude to those currently serving in our armed forces.

The Thame branch of the Royal British Legion held a wreath-laying service at the Thame War Memorial which was well attended, the bellringers of St Mary’s joined others across the nation for the Ringing Out of Peace, while local residents were urged to place a light in their windows as part of the Lamp Light of Peace commemorations across the country.
