Parents Meet to Discuss Smartphone Free Childhood

Thame parents are being encouraged to attend a meeting to discuss smartphones in childhood.

Smartphone Free Childhood is a grassroots movement of parents who believe childhood is too short to be spent on a smartphone.

‘We’ve been put in an impossible position by the tech companies. It’s a lose-lose. We either allow our children access to something evidence tells us is damaging, or say no and risk alienating them among their peers at a crucial stage of their development. We believe something needs to change, and it starts with all of us.’

The group has released a flyer for those who would like to know more.

The meeting will be held at St Mary’s Church, Thame on Wednesday 25 September at 7.30pm. If you would like to attend, click here.
