Community Champion to Switch On Christmas Lights

We are delighted to reveal that Thame’s Christmas lights will be switched on next Friday (29 November) by everyone’s favourite “sweets man”, Chris Hurdman.

Earlier this year, Chris was the recipient of the Community Award at the English Veteran’s Awards. For nearly 40 years, he has been a cornerstone of Thame’s Tuesday Charter Market and Community Day.

The Christmas tree, a 29-foot Nordmann fir, will be installed Monday, and has once again been donated by ASM Auto Recycling.
