You are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the Personnel Committee on Monday 13 January 2025 at 3:00pm (maximum two hours) in the Meeting Room (Thame Town Hall) for the transaction of business as set out on the attached agenda.

AGENDA

 

1) Apologies for Absence

To receivenote and agree apologies for absence.

 

2) Declarations of Interest and Dispensations

To notify of any items that appear in the agenda in which there may be an interest that has not been recorded in the Member’s Register of Interest, and confirmation of any relevant dispensations.

 

3) Public Participation and Public Questions

To consider applications from members of the public to address the Committee (5 minutes maximum), in respect of any item of business included in the agenda.  Applications to speak must have been received by the Town Clerk no later than 5pm on the last working day preceding the meeting.

To consider questions from members of the public (who live, work, or run a business in the Parish).  Written questions must have been received by the Town Clerk no later than 4pm on the last working day preceding the meeting.

 

4) Minutes

To confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the Committee Meeting held on 23 September 2024.

5) Exclusion of the Public

To move: That under Section 1, Paragraph 2 of The Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business because publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.

 

6) Apprenticeships

To receive feedback on the Town Council’s Business Administrator Level 3 Apprentice.

To consider options for future apprenticeship recruitment for September 2025.

 

7) Sickness Monitoring

To note the introduction of the Bradford Factor scoring method to assist with the monitoring and support of staff absences. (Linked to the Staff Handbook).

 

8) Staffing Matters

To receive an update on staffing matters, including recruitment and appraisal updates, and consider any recommendations.

To note the new caretaker, Tyron Johnson, commencement employment on 1 November 2024.

 

9) Staff Handbook

To note the staff handbook has been updated with changes to legislation.
