6 Consultation – Proposed Disabled Persons Parking Bays (DPPP)
Oxfordshire County Council are seeking to provide additional ‘Disabled Persons Parking Places’ (and also remove ones no longer required) in various towns situated within the southern districts of the County. The proposals are being put forward in response to increased local demand for parking, specifically for those with a permanent and substantial disability such that walking is not possible or presents very considerable difficulty for distances more than 100m.
In Thame, an additional DPPP is proposed on Fleetwood Way – south side, from the western boundary of No.12, eastwards for a distance of 6.6m, outside No.12.
To agree a response to the consultation.

a) P19/S2914/FUL – 25 Windmill Road and Pearce Court – Conversion of 25 Windmill Road to form three flats, and erection of a two storey building comprising two flats and associated parking. Alteration to existing office entrance.
To note the District Planning Committee will consider this application on Wednesday 5 August 2020. The District Planning Officer’s recommendation to Committee is to grant permission. As agreed at the Planning & Environment Committee held on 15 October 2019 the Town Council objected on the grounds of: 1. Poor design, 2. Poor residential access, 3. Lack of amenity space.
The Town Council has been invited to attend and decisions on representations are being progressed via email.
b) Notification of new residential property address – Erection of 1 new residential dwelling to be street named and numbered: 52A Broadwaters Avenue, Thame.
c) To note that Officers are establishing the lawfulness of the new sign located in the field opposite Pickenfield junction.
