1671 – LAND ADJACENT SEWAGE WORKS, MOOREND LANE – ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / AMENDMENT NO.1
Use of part of the land as a permanent aggregate and soil recycling facility, with final restoration of the remaining land to agriculture by regrading already deposited materials. Erection of a new site office and weighbridge, and retention of the surfacing of part of the site with hardcore. (Additional information and amended plans received 21 August 2023)

To vary the approved plans in order to regularise / retain as built the re-siting of the previously approved allotment building and permissive footpath. The permissive footpath location has been amended from that previously approved to minimise disruption to fauna and flora / avoid the most undergrowth and to also avoid taking the path into the areas that have been known to flood from the stream. a) Pavement Licence Application – PAV/22460/23 – Rumsey’s Handmade Chocolates – To note that due to a 7-day consultation period ending 1 September, this application was considered by e-mail and the committee raised no objections.
b) Amended Plans – P23/S2202/HH – 11 Queens Road – Loft conversion with box dormer (omission of dormer on the rear roof wing as shown on amended plans received 17 August 2023).
To note that having reviewed the amended plans via email due to a consultation period ending 7 September 2023, Members agreed to continue to object to the planning application on grounds it would be out of character and overbearing.
c) Amended Plans – P23/S2534/HH – 4 Sycamore Drive – Part garage conversion. Single story front extension. Single story rear extension. Formation of new roof to include habitable rooms. Accommodation divided to form an annex. (as amended by plans received 3 September omitting side door to garage and changing proposed rear garage window to a high level window).
To note that having reviewed the amended plans, Officers consider that they would not change the Town Council’s recommendation made on 22 August 2023 to object on the grounds of unneighbourly and out of character.
d) Pavement Licence Application – Candelo Lounge – To note that due to a 7-day consultation period ending 15 September, this application is being considered by e-mail. The Town Council’s response will be noted at the meeting.
e) Amended Plans – P23/S2337/O – Chiltern View, Moreton – Outline application (including access and layout reserved matters) for the demolition of the existing conservatory and outbuildings and the erection of a detached two-storey dwelling together with access, parking and amenity space. (Amended plan received 1st September 2023, showing single storey area at part of the rear of the proposed dwelling)
To note that having reviewed the amended plans, Officers consider that they would not change the Town Council’s recommendation made on 1 August 2023 to object on the grounds of overdevelopment, insufficient parking provision, and inappropriate location for development.
f) Consultation – South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse Landscape Character Assessment – To note that the consultation closes on Friday 29 September 2023 and comments can be made via the interactive map via the above link.
g) Withdrawn Application – P23/S2282/LDP – 17 Ford’s Croft – Garage conversion.
To note this application was withdrawn on 12 September 2023 prior to determination.
