At the Planning & Environment Committee on 21 May 2019 is was agreed to Object to this application stating the redundant ATM must be removed and the building reinstated to its original state prior to the installation of the ATM. Brickwork to match existing.
The District Planning Officer advised that the assessment of the advertisement consent application is only on the impact of the proposed sign on amenity and public safety and not on the removal or not of the cash machine. It would therefore not be reasonable to require the ATM to be removed. The District Planning Authority has granted permission stating the sign will not harm amenity nor public safety and it is therefore concluded that the scheme complies with the relevant development plan policies and the NPPF.
