The developer’s preference is ‘Pearce’s Yard’.
8) For Information
a) Withdrawn Application – P23/S4113/FUL – Bates Leys Farm, Moreton Lane – Adding mezzanine floor to form part first floor with additional windows and rooflights. Amendment to windows, doors and external finishes. Alteration to curtilage to reflect existing fences.
To note this application was withdrawn prior to determination on 18 January 2024.
b) Committee Notification & Contrary Decision – P23/S2462/FUL and P23/S2463/LB – 34 Upper High Street – The erection of a two storey extension to accommodate office space connected to the existing building, and the change of use of part of the existing listed building from commercial to one residential dwelling (Amended location plan received 31st August 2023, omitting neighbour’s garage from the site area. Further statement received 27th October 2023, together with revised plans altering the proposed rear extension and showing the proposed drainage arrangement.)
To note that the above planning application was considered at SODC’s planning committee on 31 January 2024. Cllr Baines provided representation for the Town Council.
To further note that planning permission was granted on 2 February 2024, contrary to the Town Council’s recommendation to object made on 22 August 2023 and 21 November 2023.
c) Permitted Development Application – P24/S0235/PDH – 12 Bartone Place – Single storey rear extension Depth: 4.00m Height: 3.50m Height to eaves: 2.40m
To note that application seeks confirmation from the Local Planning Authority that the proposed development meets the prescribed criteria and no objections are received from the owner/occupier of notified properties. The case officer has advised that they are unable to take any views or comments about this notification from the town council, but if any Councillor has specific concerns, please be prepared to raise them at the meeting.
d) Withdrawn Application – P23/S4081/LDE – 70 Churchill Crescent – Single-storey rear garden room (residential use) replacing inferior quality single-storey rear structure (residential use).
To note this application was withdrawn prior to determination on 26 January 2024.
e) Lawful Development Application – P24/S0211/LDP – 2 Skippon Way – Proposed conversion of integral garage to habitable accommodation and removal of internal walls to create an open plan living space.
To note that the application seeks confirmation from the Local Planning Authority that the proposed development is lawful and therefore they are unable to take any comments on the planning merits of the proposal into account. If any Councillor has specific concerns, please be prepared to raise them at the meeting.
